  • VacationMode

    A WP Aligned continuity benefit

    What it is

VacationMode is what you activate before you go — a real trip with your family, a week off the grid, a stretch of time where you’d like to not think about your agency at all.

You tell us you’re going. We keep watch while you’re gone.

Three things happen while it’s on:

    1. We take a more proactive approach across your account and your clients’ sites.
    2. We widen our support scope and take on work we wouldn’t ordinarily cover.
    3. Do what is in the best interest of the customer to help them.

The point is that you actually get to leave. Answering questions or issues from a hotel room isn’t a vacation, and we’d rather you didn’t.

    Who it’s for

Every WP Aligned partner that has customers on Pro Tier and above.

This is a benefit for the agency owner, not a per-client feature. When you activate VacationMode, it applies to your whole portfolio with us.

    Before you go

Send us a note with your dates. That’s the whole process.

If you have a few minutes, these help us cover you better:

    • Which clients are most likely to need something while you’re away
    • Anything time-sensitive landing during your dates — a launch, a renewal, a promised deliverable
    • Who to reach if something genuinely can’t wait
    • Our goal will be to make a call and sort the customer in the best way for them, but any red lines we shouldn’t cross would be good to know

What we do while VacationMode is active

We answer what we can. Tickets that we’d normally route back to you — plugin conflicts, a broken form, a layout that drifted after an update, a restore request — we take a swing at instead of waiting on your reply.

We watch the alerts and act. Uptime, malware flags, failed backups, resource warnings. Normally some of these are a notify-and-wait. During VacationMode we act first and tell you after.

We hold the line with your clients. We want your clients to know that even when you’re out, they are in safe hands.

You come back to a summary, not a backlog. A short written recap of what happened, what we did, what’s still open, and what needs you.

    If your plans change

Extending the trip, or coming home early? Just tell us. Nothing here is rigid.

If you’re not going anywhere pleasant — if you’re out because you’re ill or caring for someone who is — see SickMode instead. Same idea, no notice required.

  • SickMode

    A WP Aligned continuity benefit

    What it is

SickMode is what you activate when you’re sick, injured, recovering from surgery, or dealing with a medical situation in your family — and running your agency is not going to be the priority for a while.

You tell us. We shift from supporting you to covering for you.

Two things happen the moment it’s on:

    1. We take a more proactive approach across your account and your clients’ sites.
    2. We widen our support scope and take on work we wouldn’t ordinarily cover.

You don’t need to explain yourself, or send a doctor’s note. One message is enough.

    Who it’s for

Every WP Aligned partner that has customers on any tier, but it’s most effective for Pro Tier and above.

This is a benefit for the agency owner, not a per-client feature. When you activate SickMode, it applies to your whole portfolio with us.

  • Support Scope

    Support Channels

our customer portal or by sending an email to [email protected]. Support requests are dealt with using a queue-based system which allow the support staff to handle tickets in the order in which they are received. Critical issues must be submitted via your account to set the urgency of the request. All emailed tickets automatically are categorized as low/normal.

Slack is not an official support channel and should not be treated as such.

    Support Response Time/SLA

All tickets with less than critical urgency are handled on a first in/first out manner. These tickets will receive an initial response within 1 business day. Most tickets are resolved immediately. We aim for tickets to be resolved within 2 business days. Some tickets may take longer depending on the issue.

Critical tickets are prioritized due to their severity.

Only critical tickets will be addressed during holiday hours and may have a longer than normal response time.

    What Is A Critical Ticket?

A critical ticket is when your site is down and completely inaccessible due to server error.

    Support Limitations

Our support team is happy to provide errors found within our logs and will always provide general advise when we’re able to do so. Directly supporting all the plugins and themes both free and paid which are available for WordPress is not feasible. You can always ask on the off chance we are familiar with that particular plugin/theme, but most likely we will direct you to the developer’s support system.

    Support for free plugins/themes?

Submit your request on the associated page at wordpress.org.

    Support for premium plugins/themes?

Submit a ticket with the developer of those products.

    Support for your custom code?

Speak with the developer of the code. If the original developer is unavailable, WPA can provide a quote to address custom code issues on a case by case basis.

    Support for WordPress Core?

Submit these issues directly to the WordPress Core team

Other examples outside the scope of support:

    • plugin installation/troubleshooting/configuration
    • search engine optimization (SEO)
    • site loading speed
    • design/layout and customization issues
    • custom SQL queries and database management

This is not a complete list and may change at any time

  • DNS

We offer limited DNS support to WP Aligned members who utilize CloudFlare. Prior to seeking assistance, kindly provide us with your account details at [email protected].

  • Application Via Service Level

These policies apply to the service levels as follows:

    WPA Lite

Support from WPA for the WPA Member only.

    WPA Pro

Support from WPA for the WPA Member and their customers who submit a ticket to their support portal.

    WPA Elite

Support from WPA for the WPA Member and their customers who submit a ticket to their support portal.

  • Email

WPA does not provide email accounts. Any email deliverability issues from your site fall outside our support. While we allow email to be sent by your site, we do not guarantee deliverability or support issues using it. We strongly advise a third party transactional email service such as PostMark, Mailgun, SES, or SendGrid.
